Idaho Springs has embarked on an ambitious project titled ‘Planning for Gold’ to update its comprehensive plan. This initiative aims to address key community aspects such as housing, sustainable growth, land use, transportation, and tourism.
As the self-proclaimed ‘Gateway to the Rockies,’ Idaho Springs has experienced increased attention and visitation. The ‘Planning for Gold’ initiative seeks to balance this growth with the needs and values of local residents.
Community involvement is a cornerstone of this project. Residents are encouraged to participate in upcoming meetings and provide feedback to ensure the updated plan reflects the collective vision for the town’s future.
For more information on how to get involved, visit the city’s official website or contact the Community Development Department.
